Adopt-A-Native-Elder Hat Project

If you are interested in knitting hats for the grandchildren of the elders living on the Navajo reservation they must be delivered by October 20th in order for the stockings to be assembled and delivered to the reservation before the holiday break. I will be happy to deliver them but you might really enjoy going to their headquarters at 328 W. Gregson Ave. Salt Lake City, Utah 84115 to see what a wonderful organization Adopt-A-Native-Elder-Program is.

They ask that all hats be identified by gender and age to make assembly easier. I’m sure there are sizing charts available on line but I have found 72 sts on worsted weight yarn makes a small hat and 84 sts makes a large hat.

If you would like me to deliver the hats I will need to have them by October 13, as I will be out of town on the 20th.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to our community. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Love to all,
